May You + … = US?

“The two weeks of finding liberty has finally come to conclusion. It’s amazing to witness people who really try to make statements, for various reasons. And for that it makes them unique. How strangers truly become friends that we’ve just not met yet, … and finally we did. No matter how individualistic we are, there’s always time for simple “Good Morning!”, “Hey, Buddy!” or “Have a good day!”. There’s no such thing called being foreigner, unless you make yourselves one. It’s been a pleasure.”

Galaxy

Combining a series of “Galaxy” visuals, I composed the visual with Linkin Park’s “Wretches and King” song. I extracted only part of the song, not the whole song.

Originally created as LED graphics for a performer in past MTV World Stage 2010 in KL, Malaysia while doing my internship there (MTV Network Asia – Singapore), I tried to re-compose the visuals with this song.

Software used: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere

MTV Network Asia Singapore for the internship opportunities.

This is not for commercial purpose.

Ha! [Pt. 2]

OK, here is the part 2 of “Ha!” travel video. As I’ve mentioned before, part 2 shows the magnificent landscape of Halong Bay, Vietnam. I embarked on this trip with a friend from Hanoi, for 3 days and 2 night, including one night overstay at Cat Ba Island. It was such a wonderful experience that I had, and the whole place is in stark contrast to Hanoi with its frenetic traffic, crowds and noise. Our best travel companion was a couple (newly-wed apparently) from Spain and of course, the friendly guide. They’re credited at the end of the video. There were 2 young couple from England and Italy, 4 American travelers and an elderly Indonesian couple. Despite a minor incident during one of the activities, we wrapped the whole trip and safely back to Hanoi where we continued to our own destinations.

We The People Of…

We live, we co-exist, we respect.
Sometimes we just have to go out and find something unexpected.
An unplanned journey to the town coincided with Chingay 2012. the annual street parade, showcasing local and foreign cultural performing groups. here in Singapore. Fortunately I brought my freshly-bought GH2 (unhacked) and captured whatever moments I found.
Special thanks to Steve Yutzy-Burkey (and of course his band members) for giving me the permission to use the music track.

The Good Days

Class of 2011. Peers. Memories.

By making use of clips recorded using cellphone (most of them were handheld), a documentation of spontaneous moments captured creates a story of in and out-of-school events, a glimpse of final year study life and personal experiences shared among peers.

Big thanks to:
Azim and his N8. Shaky footage doesn’t stop us from creating something wonderful.
3C and 3D Animation major Class of 2011
and NAFA Peers.
